McKay`s Ranch House in Kilgore

This was my first visit to this location and I was very pleased with their selections on their buffet. The food was seasoned well and tasted great. The salad bar had decent options and the dessert bar did as well. I do have to talk about their bread pudding which is worth the trip here. When topped with their butter sauce, it makes it taste extremely delicious. The staff is friendly and make you feel welcome. I definitely will be back!

The best buffet I have had in my life. So much better than Golden Corral. All real and fresh food no fake food.

This buffet was so good! Just like home cooking. I would go all the time of I lived there! Very friendly staff and clean place. Bravo!

The food is what you would expect from Sunday dinner at grandma's house when you were little. The service is amazing every time. You may not even ke who your waitress is because they all have hearts of servitude. It has a salad bar and buffet, or you can order appetizers and steak (which are to die for).

Great down home comfort food! The bread pudding with the butter sauce was so rich and decadent! I recommend this small town restaurant to anyone who wants good old fashioned home cooked meal!

Good "down home" comfort food. You can order off the menu or just enjoy the buffet. Everything is delicious and the desserts are homemade! Great value as well! The staff are very friendly and attentive. We always leave with a full belly and a smile on our faces! (Ps..try their chicken strips and the chicken fried steak!!🤤👍)

Good food & service

Our first visit and it was delicious for a great price.3 buffets - salad bar - dessert bar - hot bar.Cat fish, chicken strips, country fried chicken and the bread pudding was awesome. The salad bar had at least 12 choices and all looked or tasted fresh.Staff was friendly, helpful and attentive.We plan on going again before we leave Kilgore.

We eat there several times a month and love the food and employers but. Tuesday nite we ate there and my wife wanted her small portion of bread pudding to take home. We were the last customers for the evening and the newest employee said that wasn't possible and all left overs are discarded. Knowing that wasn't true I videoed her from the parking lot carry out trays and trays of food...I hate liars

Great place to eat. Chicken fried steak can easily cut with your fork, generous portion. Chicken strips are out of this world good! This is an all you can eat buffet.

Buffet food Cabbage was to hot with Peppers and the burger patties where out of the box no flavor and the chicken strips where dry.Mash potatoes where ok needed to be mashed up more had hard chuncks the red beens needed to be cooked longer and add some flavor .Had great waitress and the Air Conditioning didn't seem to be working right was warm inside and the cost of the meal seemed to have increased from the last time I was there which was before the first of year and the cost to the meal that was low grade was to high.Will not be back

Had a great daddy-daughter date to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. She chose the location because she loved the bread pudding.

Food was good and the service was great. I didn't think the price was too bad either. I believe it was about $11 for the buffet and a water. Would go again.

Nice place to get a lunch buffet with some colleagues. Pretty good selection of mostly Southern dishes, and awesome desserts. Nothing special about the building/setting itself, but neat atmosphere with a real "oilfield trash" feel to it - not everybody's thing, but when you're in Kilgore that's what's up! I would recommend McKay's Ranch House for a casual business lunch.

Yummy!! We normally choose the buffet. Fresh salad bar with good selection and they grate their own shredded cheese. Hot bar has a good selection too! Homemade mashed potatoes, chicken tenders and chicken fried steak always seem to be part of the selection along with other meat entrees. Good selection of vegetables too! Love their famous bread pudding and sauce! Very friendly and clean restaurant!

We eat here every time we are in Kilgore. Excellent food, all you can eat... and the bread pudding is the best I’ve ever had. I can’t even think about it without my mouth watering. 🤤

Eating at McKay's is like eating home cooking only better because the buffet has some of all our home cooking favorites but I didn't have to cook plus there's bread pudding! It's always like just dropping in on family because the ladies there are so sweet.

Very old school, and the food is really good. They butterfly the shrimp to clean it out and it's so good. The staff is so kind to my family I just love it.
